Looking to plan ahead in these uncertain times?
With 2021 around the corner here are some tips on how to plan ahead and be ready for anything in these uncertain times.
I would like to start off by saying Happy Holidays to everyone no matter what you celebrate I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday.
This time of the year makes me want to dream and be creative. I don’t have any big projects slated for the next few weeks so I instead I spend that time dreaming, designing, planning, and reflecting.
Now I know that this time of the year a lot of entrepreneurs tend to slow down and even take time off. But… It’s also a good time to plan for 2021 because things are so uncertain.
So how do you plan for uncertainty, last year I talked about your one page year. It’s where you take a piece of paper and divide it into twelve sections (or month) and pick one bigger thing per section (or month) to achieve. Instead this year, because we want to plan for uncertain times we are going to do things a little bit differently.
So I’m going to start off by saying we are only planning 3 months ahead for now because of the way everything is it is best to just start with 1 thing a month for the first 3 months.
One of the first things we are going to do is take a look at a framework from Run Like Clockwork called the ACDC method.
So the ACDC method stands for Attract, convert, Deliver, Cash.
When jumping into this method the first thing you need to do is be honest and figure out where you are bottlenecking your business.
Is it attraction?
Are you not getting enough leads?
Do you only get leads when you do big events?
Is your free content actually working for you or against you?
Are you being effective?
Maybe you are getting a million people to your website maybe you are getting all those people to you webinar and you’ve got your Facebook on lock. This happens to be my biggest goal for 2021 get myself out there.
If you have tons of people but still are not meeting your goals it could be you conversion (or covert the first C in ACDC).
Is it conversion?
Do you know you people?
Do you have the right people on your lists?
Are you engaging your people enough, in the right way?
Conversion (NOT TO BRAG) is fortunately not one my problems, I can convert because I know my people.
Then there is delivery which pretty much covers the ways that you create and get your products out there. Its the admin and operations of it all.
Is it Delivery?
Do you actually need to spend your time setting up that dubsado?
Do you need to productize your business?
Are you constantly getting emails from people needing their login info?
One of the best things I have done in 2020 was move over to Podia its my course delivery platform and one of the best decisions I have made for my business with their reliability, peace of mind, and how awesome they are totally worth checking out.
And the last C in ACDC stands for cash which could be finances, or legal.
Is it cash?
Do you have failed payments?
Are your products profitable enough to reach your goals?
Are you using adds to their highest profitably?
So all you need to do is figure what aspect of your business you are bottlenecking, and then set 1 goal in each of the first 3 months of 2021 trying to improve.

Takeaways from 2020
So 2020… From Alex Trebek dying to wildfires, a global pandemic and election issues it was a year. For me the biggest thing for me though was the Black Lives Matter movement. For me that has had the biggest lasting Impact.
The I always like to think that I’ve been pretty good at being diverse but it is now making sure that we are excellent at being diverse. It checking my biases and my privilege’s and making sure everyone feels welcome.
Y’all know me I am the realest of real and if you have a problem with the phrase Black Lives Matter don’t waste your or my time.
I have touched on this before and it can be as simple as calling out a friend when then make a joke that makes you uncomfortable. Or something like finding ways to just be more inclusive and just check your privilege’s at the door.
